Les Paul Special [Objekt #5679] [Baujahr 1959]

Very nice LP Special with the famous '59 neck and all original hardware. One tone-knob was replaced but the original one with broken axle bracket comes with it. Pots dated 59, orig. Bumble Bee capacitors.
The guitar shows no cracks or repaired cracks except for a very little split in the edge of the neck heel.
In the past, the guitar was probably given a neck reset and in the course of this an additional small block of wood was worked into the routing of the neck pickup to prevent the neck joint from breaking. (see picture no. 13 and 14)
The early 1959 Les Paul Juniors and Specials have the problem that the neck joints are very sensitive, as the neck PU is mounted very close to the neck.
