Blues Junior [Item #6303] 2015 c.

"This is the prototype of the "80 Proof" Blues Junior amp. The original was built from an out of service Blues Jr. that was used for tune testing in final assembly in Corona, CA. The cabinet was built from parts of a Brown-Forman (Jack Daniels) whiskey barrel including the sides and bottom from staves and the top of the amp from the barrel head. Once it warms up it smells a little like a late night in a honky-tonk that had more than one shot of JD spilled on the floor. The limited production run was made of quartersawn white oak with the top still being from the barrel head of bourbon/whiskey barrel. A lot easier than using barrel staves that are neither flat nor straight edged! It is a little heavy though!"
